Iliza Shlesinger Wins Last Comic standing on comedy show

American comedian Iliza Shlesinger is the winner of the Last Comic Standing 6. In age 27, Shlesinger is the first female and also the youngest winner of NBC’s Last Comic Standing. The three finalists left in the competition are Marcus, Iliza Shlesinger and Jeff Dye, who was the first participant among the three who was eliminated during the finals.

Shlesinger was one of the most popular members of the “Whiteboy Comedy“. Whiteboy Comedy is a group of stand-up comedians in Los angeles. The 6th season of Last Comic Standing began airing its first show in May 2008. The reality show was hosted by Bill Bellamy and co-hosted by Fearne Cotton.

The Last Comic Standing is a reality talent show that has aired from 2003 to 2010. The objective was to select a coedian from a group, who will receive a development contract with NBC. Iliza Shlesinger was born in Dallas on February 22, 1983 and graduated from Emerson College. Shlesinger is now hosting a show called the Weakly News at TheStream.tv.

A Jazzy Wedding with a Glee's Jane Lynch

It looks like Jane Lynch has something to be extra Gleeful about.

Although the actress hasn't made an official announcement, the Blue Heron restaurant in Sunderland, Mass., reports that Lynch, 49, married psychologist Lara Embry in a small ceremony on Memorial Day.

"There were no celebrities or recognizable faces there," restaurant co-owner Deborah Snow tells PEOPLE. "Lara’s daughter was there, along with close, close friends of the couple. It was small, warm, intimate and very sweet. You could feel the love and friendship amongst the group."

After Monday's ceremony, in which a friend of Lynch's thanked the State of Massachusetts for being welcoming to gay and lesbian couples, the newlyweds and their 19 guests enjoyed a reception featuring a four-piece jazz combo.

Hors d’oeuvres included oysters, lobster triangles, Japanese crab salad, seared scallop with apple reduction and artichoke fritters with lemon aioli. For the main course: beet salad, striped bass with lemon buerre blanc, truffle mushroom salad, pan-seared breast of duck with duck confit, and herb salad.

The reception concluded around 10 p.m. with cheese plates and a house-made cake filled with chocolate mousse, vanilla butter cream and fresh strawberries.

Lynch and Embry have been engaged since November. Showing a soft spot not often exhibited by her character Sue Sylvester, Lynch gushed to PEOPLE earlier this year: "It's just the greatest thrill in the world to find somebody that you want to be with every day."

When I stopped questioning myself. It’s really hard. When you go through life, when you go through different things, you take risks, you question yourself. I think everybody does at some point in their life question themselves. Like any decision anyone else has made, you know, I made a decision to do something, and I did the best that I could at it. And that’s all anybody can do when they do anything. It got me here. There have been bumps in the road, you know. It’s just a matter of getting over those things and becoming a better person, a better performer, for all of it.

After Andrews was the first to be eliminated Tuesday (May 25) night during the first half of the two-hour "Dancing With the Stars" season finale, she gave perhaps the most moving goodbye we've seen all season -- and Chmerkovskiy followed with an equally (if not more so) heartfelt speech.

Then Tom Bergeron turned to Chmerkovskiy and said he looked "the most emotional he ever has," and then asked how this season has been.

"It was a roller coaster," said a clearly choked up Chmerkovskiy. "I think we both learned a lot about each other and ourselves, and I learned a lot about myself. It's been an amazing journey. I've come close before, but you know, this is obviously different. And I feel like we've won, and I certainly have."

More than seven years after Elizabeth Smart was reunited with her family, one of her abductors was sentenced Friday to 15 years in prison by a federal judge.

Wanda Barzee, who pleaded guilty to helping Brian David Mitchell kidnap Smart, then 14, from her Salt Lake City home in 2002, apologized to Elizabeth's family during the sentencing hearing in Salt Lake City.

"I know the gravity of my crimes and how serious they are," said Barzee, 64. "I’m just so sorry again for all the pain and suffering I caused upon the Smart family."

Earlier, Smart's mother Lois had scolded Barzee, telling her, "What you did to Elizabeth and our family was wrong and evil."

"You hurt our family in ways you’ll never know," Lois Smart said. "It was unconscionable what you did to [Elizabeth]. I hope you will be able to make peace with your maker."

In exchange for the sentence, Barzee agreed to testify against Mitchell, whose trial is slated to begin this November.

Rocker Bret Michaels is back in the hospital after suffering a "warning stroke" just weeks after his near-fatal episode with a brain hemorrhage. On his Facebook page, Michaels' reps released the info that says he went back to the hospital after "suffering numbness on the left side of his body." Doctors later diagnosed Michaels as having suffered a Transient Ischematic Attack (TIA), otherwise known as a warning stroke.

According to doctors, an Ultrasound Bubble test of Michaels' heart was then done, and they found a hole in his heart described as a Patent Forum Ovale.

Michaels' neurosurgeon Dr. Joseph Zabramski said that "there is no doubt that the positive Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO) is devastating news to Bret and his family. The good news is that it is operable and treatable and we think we may have diagnosed the problem that caused the Transient Ischemic Attach (TIA) or warning stroke."

The new health woes come just days before Bret was to make an appearance at Sunday's live finale of 'Celebrity Apprentice,' where he's in one of the final two competitors vying for the show's title.

Zabramski says that he's well aware Michaels planned on attending the New York City finale and even getting back on the road to play concerts in the near future, but now adds: "Bret's brain and body are not quite 100% yet, especially with the hole found in his heart. Further tests will be conducted throughout the week and I will have more information next week as to how this Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO) will be treated. For now, Bret will be treated with outpatient care which includes a daily injection of Lovenox (a blood thinner to reduce the chance of blood clots) and blood tests."

My takeaway from The Real Housewives of New York this week: Kelly Bensimon is completely out of touch with reality.

I suspected it before, but tonight's episode confirmed the crazy.

Ramona was partaking in the renew-your-wedding-vows trend and planned an elaborate bachelorette party on board a yacht in St. John's. Bethenny, Kelly, Alex, and new housewife, Sonja Morgan, were along for the ride.

The first hint of Bensimon's instability came from her defense of grapes. When Ramona questioned where the wine was, Bethenny Frankel jokingly offered to stomp on the grapes in the refrigerator.

Totally serious and annoyed, Kelly said, "What? No, I'm eating those. You're not stomping on those."

Then when she was trying to chastise the women for making a bigger deal of one of Jill's missteps than she thought it deserved, she told them they were "making lemonade out of lemons." I think she meant a mountain out of a molehill.

When Bensimon tried to storm off from the table, calling the other women "demented," she couldn't get through the door.

To quote Bethenny: "Kelly came out of the gate like kook-a-doodle-doo ... and wanted to make a grand exit and nearly smashed her face in the glass window, which ... the humor of that is not lost on me."

Me either.Bethenny described the incident as "a gift from Jesus to make me laugh."Then, Bethenny and Kelly: Had. It. Out.

The Girls Aloud star's fellow X Factor judge Louis Walsh reportedly implied she had the cosmetic procedure in a new interview. 'Of course I have [had Botox], and I'll have it again,' Louis said. 'If the other three judges can do it, why can't I?'

But now a spokesman for Cheryl, 26, has set the record straight.

Lindsay Lohan has never been rude, disrespectful or showed up drunk to her court-mandated alcohol education class, her progress report shows.

A three-page document released Tuesday by the Los Angeles court system shows that Lohan, 23, is in good standing with her DUI class, despite reports that she's almost certainly facing jail time at a hearing Thursday for alleged poor attendance.

"The judge is concerned about Lindsay's alleged excessive partying but that doesn't necessarily mean she's facing jail time," says a source close to the case. "But it's all up to the judge at the hearing if Lohan's in violation [of her probation] or not. There might be new conditions placed on her."

An attorney for Lohan, who has been in France this week at the Cannes Film Festival, didn't immediately respond to calls for comment. On Monday, L.A. Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel ordered Lohan to personally show this Thursday.

The progress report also says the actress "attends regularly and consistently communicates in a timely manner to reschedule [her classes]" and that "her attitude is positive and receptive to ideas regarding lifestyle changes."

The report does say, however, that when Lohan first transferred into the program in March 2009, she "struggled with consistency and punctuality in attending her scheduled activities."

As of May 4, Lohan's attended 17 of 26 Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, 19 of 26 group sessions, 24 of 26 interview sessions, and completed all six alcohol education classes.

Leigh Anne Tuohy, the no-nonsense adoptive mom who Sandra Bullock played in her Oscar-winning turn in The Blind Side, has met the actress's 4-month-old son, Louis – and it was love at first sight.

"She said, 'Here he is, what do you think? You better like him,' and I could eat him with a spoon," Tuohy says of their first meeting in an interview with Access Hollywood and The Billy Bush Show.

Not that Bullock had to worry.

"He's the most beautiful little baby," Tuohy says. "I just had lunch with them Saturday. He's got eyes that have wisdom. I could just stare at him all day."

Recently, Bullock, 45, has been showing her son around his hometown of New Orleans. Last weekend, she visited some art galleries in the French Quarter, and on Mother's Day, the actress shared brunch with Louis and friends at Commander's Palace.

As for their friendship, Tuohy is "forever grateful" that the actress helped tell her family's story, and, she says, she still counts on Bullock as a trusted confidant.

"I need her more than she needs me," she says. "She tends to be a sounding board for me. She is one lady that exudes character and integrity."

And Tuohy has faith that everything will turn out well for her friend. "I love her immensely," she says. "She will weather this storm and I'm sure other ones, as we all do."

Crystal Bowersox Touches a Chord Texas homecoming

Crystal Bowersox had a few things she really wanted to do in Toledo, Ohio.

She wanted to reunite with bass player Frankie May at her old haunt, Papa’s Tavern. She wanted to see her family in Elliston, Ohio, and thank her fans by singing her original songs. She wanted to raise awareness about juvenile diabetes. But mostly, Bowersox wanted to move people and lift the spirits of her hometown.

On a car ride back to her hotel after a long Friday, Idol top 3 finalist Bowersox, 24, smiles a weary smile but tells PEOPLE contently, “That was my goal, and hopefully, mission accomplished.”

The American Idol contestant arrived at a private airstrip Thursday night -– then it was right down to business. She visited a local FOX station and, on Friday morning, dropped into three local radio stations.  

After a few more whirlwind stops, it was time for the big event: Bowersox’s parade and concert in downtown Toledo, where she received a glass key to the city from Mayor Michael Bell. She also performed her original song “Holy Toledo,” which has been getting airplay in northwest Ohio, to about 5,000 people, many who sang along and cried.

The petition reads: "In 2004, the state of Kentucky abdicated its responsibility to protect all citizens of the state by relinquishing the authority to oversee and regulate the animal shelters in each county in the state. Despite passage of the “Humane Shelter Law” (KRS Chap. 258) that same year, many Kentucky counties are treating the animals in their care with reckless disregard for the suffering that they are causing. This misconduct continues because the Humane Shelter Law has no enforcement provision and the state has not stepped in and demanded that the basic standards of care required by the Law be provided to these animals.
“While the state stands idly by, animals are suffering and dying in deplorable conditions. Preventable shelter-borne diseases, filth, flea and tick infestations and contaminate water are common. Even worse, there are stories across the state of dogs and cats being routinely euthanized, even shot (illegal under the 2004 law), without any attempt to find their owners or adopt them into loving homes.

“The Animal Legal Defense Fund has filed lawsuits in two particularly problematic counties — Robertson and Estill — that helped put an end to the abuse and neglect that was running rampant, and also negotiated to achieve improvements in Rockcastle County, but the problems are taking place all across the state. As a supporter of the Animal Legal Defense Fund, I strongly urge you to step in and end the suffering of all innocent animals in Kentucky by pressing the legislature to act and have the state take back responsibility for oversight of these shelters.”

Yesterday it was The Price Is Right live show at Bally’s and visits to Sugar Factory in Planet Hollywood’s Miracle Mile Shops and The Cupcakery in the Monte Carlo. UVA lacrosse Player charged in murder

Police have arrested 22-year-old UVA men’s lacrosse player George Huguely and charged him with first degree murder in the death of Yeardley Love, a fellow UVA fourth year and a member of the women’s lacrosse team. Love was discovered in her apartment at 222 14th Street at around 2:15am by one of her two roommates, who called 911.

Love was a fourth-year University of Virginia student and a standout on the University's Women's Lacrosse Team. Love was a 2006 graduate of Notre Dame Preparatory School in Towson.

According to news reports, a preliminary investigation reveals that Love suffered visible physical trauma, but the specific cause of her death won't be announced until after an autopsy.

Love and Huguely had been in a relationship, Longo says, however the nature of that relationship and its status as of last night are focal points of the investigation. Longo says he does not believe Huguely has a criminal record and says Love had not sought a restraining order against Huguely— nor had police been called to the apartment for previous domestic disturbances.

The crime has stunned the university community, which for the past week had been celebrating the men’s lacrosse team’s ACC Championship victory.

“Uncertainty and not knowing is very difficult,” said Sandridge, perhaps thinking of Morgan Harrington, who disappeared after attending a concert at John Paul Jones Arena in October and whose death remains an unsolved crime more than three months after her body was discovered on an Albemarle County farm.

A source said Ryan was found in his bedroom after officers were called to the scene when a friend couldn't gain access to the apartment in central Dublin.

The broadcaster announced a separation from his wife Morah in March 2008 after 26 years of marriage. The couple had five children together.

The 53-year-old father-of-five from Clontarf in Dublin had been broadcasting on 2fm for more than two decades.

He failed to show up for his radio show this morning. A friend who could not gain access to his Leeson Street apartment alerted gardaí.

Environment Minister John Gormley and Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny also issued statements paying tribute to the broadcaster. The Taoiseach said he was deeply saddened to learn of Ryan’s death.

“Gerry was a household name and a broadcaster of immense talent and popularity,” he said. “His legion of fans will all be greatly shocked to hear this sad news. He was one of the greats of modern Irish broadcasting on radio and television.”

The oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico is becoming more and more of an environmental concern as time passes by. It all started with an oil rig explosion last April 20, 2010 which eventually led the oil tank to sink two days later about 40 miles off the Mississippi River delta.

Alternatively, one other solution to contain the oil spill is to create a dome-like device to cover oil rising to the surface and pump it to container vessels. However, BP said that this particular solution will take about two weeks to put in place.

Several oceanographers have claimed that the magnitude of the oil spill was huge and that it will definitely have an impact on marine life. They also claimed that the oil spill also threatened oyster beds in Breton Sound on the eastern side of the Mississippi River as winds and currents in the Gulf moved the oil spill steadily toward the mouth of the Mississippi River.

"They have to repair the problem. I'm not sure if anything else is going to matter until they do," said Kelly O'Keefe, managing director of the Virginia Commonwealth University Brandcenter. "And they should apologize."

Landry said more than 5,000 barrels a day of sweet crude are discharging into the gulf, not the 1,000 barrels officials had estimated for days since the Deepwater Horizon drilling rig exploded and sank 50 miles off the Louisiana Coast. The new oil spill estimate came from the federal National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration.

The Exxon Valdez oil spill caused a lot of environmental damage as a lot of birds, fish and otter were killed due to the oil spill and some groups say that the official volume of 10.9 million gallons is actually lesser than what actually leaked. They say this because the vessel was carrying a total of 54.1 million gallons of Prudhoe Bay Crude oil and the area where it struck the reef was a very remote area implying that almost all the oil leaked before counter measures could be taken.

Torando in Mississippi Videos

A massive tornado has killed at least 10 people in Mississippi, including two children. Louisiana and Mississippi was expected to carry heavy thunderstorms, hail and a few tornadoes east toward Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida on Sunday.

Reports quoting Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour said the tornadoes that blew through the center of the state obliterated houses and churches and uprooted trees and power lines, leaving rescue teams helpless.

He declared a state of emergency in 17 counties. Yazoo County, where four people died, was the worst affected. Five people died in Choctaw County, including two children, and one person died in Holmes County.

Yazoo City was the worst hit where at least 20 to 30 homes were destroyed and in some cases, residents were trapped inside the rubble. The tornado struck residential areas in the outskirts of the city and avoided the downtown area. There were at least 17 people injured.

Many homes in Lauderdale, Warren, and Madison counties were destroyed. After the tornado struck Yazoo County, it went in a northeasterly direction through Holmes and Choctaw Counties.

Roads were blocked by toppled trees and debris, which delayed the response by emergency response teams. Several injured people had to be airlifted to Jackson, Mississippi and others taken by ambulance. In areas where vehicle access was blocked, ATVs were used to transport the injured.

In the main event, world featherweight champion Jose Aldo and former champion Urijah Faber will both need to make the 145-pound limit. In the co-main event, WEC lightweight champion Ben Henderson and No. 1 contender Donald Cerrone will both need to make the 155-pound limit.

White said "I will give $65,000 to the two guys involved in the fight of the night, $65,000 for the best knockout of the night, and $65,000 for the best submission of the night. And yes, you can be involved in the fight of the night and pull of the best knockout or submission and win $130,000."

Bret Michael is in serious condition

Bret Michaels is in serious condition suffering from a brain hemorrhage. A report on People magazine's website that said the former Poison front man was rushed to intensive care late Thursday after a severe headache. The report said doctors discovered bleeding at the base of his brain stem.

The 47-year-old glam-rock reality TV star had an emergency appendectomy at a private care facility for diabetics last week after complaining of stomach pains before he was scheduled to perform at Sea World in San Antonio, Texas. Michaels later wrote on his website that though the surgery "has taken its toll," doctors expected him to make a full recovery.

"I'm a life-long juvenile diabetic, so taking four injections a day and, as I just did right before this, probably six to eight blood tests a day. I really have a strong cause and I'm in there fighting for it," Bret told to Pop Eater.

Bret family members says, “After several CAT scans, MRIs and an angiogram, [doctors] decided to keep Michaels in the ICU and are running several tests to determine the cause. [It] will be touch and go for the next few days while he is under intense observation.”

The movie starts with enthusiastic 1980 backdrop in black and white. The college mates disperse after farewell and they keep themselves in contact even after decades.

Prabha (Prabhas) is the son of one of those old friends (Prabhu) and Nandini (Kajal) is the daughter of another (Ahuti Prasad). They live in various places.

A lady (Shradhdha Das) loves Prabha and proposes him. But he negates. The father of that lady is a goon (Mukesh Rishi) who surrounds Prabha and his friends’ gang for negating his daughter. To escape from that goon Prabha narrates his flash back stating that he has love interest by name Nandini and he met her in Switzerland. The goon leaves him knowing that.

After a while, the old friends wish to have old friends’ reunion with families. They all meet in a village and how Prabha and Nandini meet again (?) and end up with love-union forms rest of the story. Many twists, turns and secrets will be unleashed in narration for the entertainment of audience.

First half is entertaining but declares to be a fiction by interval. Second half is on beaten track with predictable screenplay. Climax is crisp and closed on lighter note without any extras.

Sheryl Wolfe died at the age of 18

An 18-year-old teenage beauty queen life suddenly ended. Sheryl Wolfe died on Monday, after suffering with a stroke last week. Sheryl Wolfe died at The Queen's Medical Center after family members said some of her organs were donated. Wolfe had been at Queen's in a coma since she suffered a stroke.

"My daughter she'd light everybody. People were down she'd have the right thing to say to them as far as knew how to bring their spirits up," says Allen Wolfe, Sheryl's father.

"Sheryl basically stood out. Her personality, her dynamic spirit all of that the girls were very much attracted to her because she was a fun loving young lady," says Luana Alapa, the state pageant director.

"I'm still in shock because she's just so young like you don't expect things like this to happen especially to your friends," says Miss Hawaii Junior Teen U.S.A. Ashlynn Pierceall.

"In younger patients they are so rare that it's often a very unusual cause - and more often a problem with the blood vessel or bleeding rather than a blockage although that can occur also," explains Dr. James Ireland, an Emergency Room Physician. She also was named Hawaii Teen Princess winner in 2009.
